Late 2020, Florian was approached by Flack Studio to re-imagine the courtyard of trail-blazing Australian pop-export Troye Sivan. The brief – to create an outdoor space which complimented an architectural redesign but felt like it predated the client’s own tenure at the property. In essence, this is always true – the landscape came first – but to reveal the memory embedded in such a place can often prove complex.

So began a curatorial journey – an exploration into the weird and wonderful, of objects and plants, that best reflected a life well-lived. The idea was to reinvigorate the space, to inject it with as much energy as held by an international popstar while leaving no indication the designers were ever there.

Today, a collection of botanical oddities sits comfortably in the space – blending boldly with artwork and ornaments collected by Troye on his travels.
